Greens call for block on US execution livestream

The federal government says online platforms have a responsibility to ensure Australians are not confronted with deeply distressing content.

As parliament returns this week, there’s been widespread concern about plans by the US secretary of defense, Pete Hegseth, to live stream the execution of an American army psychiatrist who killed 13 people at a Texas military base in 2009.
