Paipai advisory counselor, Shamshad Ali explains how the Khalil Cane Access Road leading to the bridge is the only easy access for farmers at Vitogo, Lautoka to their homes and also to transport their sugarcane.
Mr Ali said the farmers are hoping that the full completion of the bridge would be done before the next crushing season in June.
Director Sugar, Sanjay Kumar said his team was currently in the process assessing the repairs that would take place in the cane belt areas while working on an allocated budget.
