Qwant is a French search engine that says it is focused on privacy and does not track user data. At the moment, Google has around 800 times more users than Qwant.

A month ago, the same channel, DW News, shared a post talking about the European Parliament ditching Google and other US burn cloud service providers for European alternatives like Qwant.

I commented that “until something is built to replace Mastercard and Visa, the conversation is yet serious”.
Barely a month later, here we are.

Thankfully, the judge and probably his co-victims are oldies and can easily conduct their lives without the need for the restricted services.

Thank God, the European got back to their senses. All we heard that "China is spying on us!", "China is security threat!" & "Chinese apps are spyware!".

China has already realized that relying on the US tech would breach their security. So China has created its own IT environment. That's why the US don't like China and try to smear them.

They just did it…. With Fable

That EU governments have not demanded EULAs that protect EU interests is outrageously irresponsible. Wake up and smell the coffee or be prepared to suffer the consequences…

Next thing the US government could be cutting off access to AI models from companies like Anthropic…

Europe is so pathetic.
If they want to start a software & services arms race with the US – they will instantly lose. AI alone would tank them – the US should stop allowing EU access to Claude or Open AI and see how long they last…

I mainly use Ecosia since 2018 and a bit Qwant since 2023. I also use Vivaldi instead of chrome

I wonder if this boosts the market share of the Linux desktop. EU countries ditching windows in the goverment sector and public schools, and pour EU funds in linux based software development.
